Goodbye
I’m waiting over here
Just to see you
My love
For the last time
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
I love to see you fade and die
I love to see you kicking, screaming as you try to reach the sky
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
I love to see you fade and die
I love to see you kicking, screaming as you try to reach the sky and die
I’m begging you tonight
I want to free you
My love
Just one last time for you
Maybe we could change
We always seem to fall again
We are still alive
You have to give up everything and die
And all I want is you
And all I want is you
So it’s over now
And I have loved you
With my life
But this is the last time for you
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
I love to see you fade and die
I love to see you kicking, screaming as you try to reach the sky
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
I love to see you fade and die
I love to see you kicking, screaming
As you try to reach the sky and die
Paint the Moon
I had a dream last night
A nightmare to be exact
We couldn’t take the heat
And the sweat dripped from our backs
I didn’t go I waited for the
Midnight sun
I didn’t want to leave you
Cause I don’t have anyone
Don’t paint the sun anymore
Paint the moon, and the stars
In an autumn sky
Paint me cool blue waters, with
Shades of gray, just don’t let me
Live my life this way
Without you
Let it go, let it go
Let it fall down from the sky
And leave this world behind
I saw you suffering, so I knelt
Down by your side, I saw that you
Were fading, that you were leaving
Your own mind
I gave you water just to soothe your
Failing heart and take away the fear
Of what we both know we will find
Don’t paint the sun anymore
Paint the moon, and the stars
In an autumn sky
Paint me cool blue waters, with
Shades of gray, just don’t let me
Live my life this way
Without you
My Love
If you are lucky, lucky enough today
To have someone
To whom you feel you have something to say
Dont think it over, dont let them slip away
He read to her from his poetry
But that could never be enough to really make her see
So he climbed up high into a tree
And made the choice to turn into a leaf
If you are lucky, lucky enough today
To have found a love
To whom you feel you have something to say
Dont think it over, its gonna be ok
He read to her from his poetry
But that could never be enough to really make her see
So he climbed up high into a tree
And made the choice to turn into a leaf
Concentrate
I need a lot of hope from you
But I forgot I went away instead
I hope I’m not disturbing you
But I forgot I’m hurting you
I hope I’m not who you need
I hope you’re not talkin’ ’bout yesterday
‘Cause I can’t live, I can’t live that way
It’s all gone now
And you don’t know the truth
So you must go now and find the door
I hope I’m not disturbing you
Dave’s Dream
Didn’t you go out in the morning
Didn’t you go out in the evening
I was ready for anything
I don’t mind, I won’t find out anyway
I’m too blind, to see you at all
Can I have what I feel that I must have
Multiply by ten, that’s what I think I need
Overshadow your life
Do you like asphyxiation?
I don’t mind, I won’t find out anyway, I’m too blind
I don’t mind, I won’t find out anyway, I am too blind, to see you at all
Roger’s Song
So you say you’re down
There’s a lot that I can do
For you scream your life
I will say another word
So you say you’re down
There’s a lot that I can do
For you scream your life
I will say another word
Cos you’re wanted
you are desired too
I’m not saying anything.
That’s not saying much…
?Say another, won’t you just
So you say you’re down
There’s a lot that I can do
For you scream your life
I will say another word
Cos you’re wanted
you are desired too
I’m not saying anything.
That’s not saying much…
?Say another, won’t you just
Strange
Strange how you’ve stopped loving me
,How you’ve stopped needing me
Since she came along, oh, how strange
Strange, you changed like night and day
Just up and walked away
When she came along, oh, how strange
Well, I guess that I was just your puppet
You held on a string
To think I thought you really loved me
But look what thoughts can bring
Strange, you’re still in all my dreams
Oh, what a funny thing
I still care for you, oh, how strange

The Way It Always Starts .

Who Will Light Your Path
Chris Eckman feat Anita Lipnicka
Who will light your path
Through the night?
When you travel the marshes
Toward which light
Will you turn your eyes?
When you hang in the void,
To whom will you call?
When you have no pillow,
Where will you
Lay your head?
Who will light
Your path
Through the night,
Toward what light
Will you turn?
The night is full of sounds,
But can you recognize
The right one?
The night is full of lights,
But which light
Is the light of your eyes?
And who casts the hook
For night waters
Into your mouth?
Who follows you close
As you go
Along your way?
Which teeth, white and rabid
From loneliness and hunger
Sink into your flesh?
Who will cut the ties?
Oh, what a sharp
Invisible knife
Who will wait for you
At the crossroads?
At midnight
Toward what light
Will you turn?
Nicholas Edward “Nick” Cave (born 22 September 1957) is an Australian musician, songwriter, author, screenwriter, composer and occasional film actor. He is best known as the frontman of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, established in 1983, a group known for its diverse output and ever-evolving line-up. Prior to this, he fronted the Birthday Party, one of the most extreme and confrontational post-punk bands of the early 1980s.[1] In 2006, he formed thegarage rock band Grinderman, releasing its debut album the following year.

Skeleton Tree
Sunday morning, skeleton tree
Oh, nothing is for free
In the window, a candle
Well, maybe you can see
Fallen leaves thrown across the sky
A jittery TV
Glowing white like fire
Nothing is for free
I called out, I called out
Right across the sea
But the echo comes back in, dear
And nothing is for free
Sunday morning, skeleton tree
Pressed against the sky
The jittery TV
Glowing white like fire
And I called out, I called out
Right across the sea
I called out, I called out
That nothing is for free
And it’s alright now
And it’s alright now
And it’s alright now
Distant Sky
[Verse 1: Nick Cave]
Let us go now, my one true love
Call the gasman, cut the power out
We can set out, we can set out for the distant skies
Watch the sun, watch it rising in your eyes
[Verse 2: Else Torp]
Let us go now, my darling companion
Set out for the distant skies
See the sun, see it rising
See it rising, rising in your eyes
[Verse 3: Nick Cave]
They told us our gods would outlive us
They told us our dreams would outlive us
[Verse 4: Else Torp]
Let us go now, my only companion
Set out for the distant skies
Soon the children will be rising, will be rising
This is not for our eyes
Where The Wild Roses Grow
They call me The Wild Rose
But my name was Eliza Day
Why they call me it I do not know
For my name was Eliza Day
From the first day I saw her I knew she was the one
She stared in my eyes and smiled
For her lips were the colour of the roses
That grew down the river, all bloody and wild
When he knocked on my door and entered the room
My trembling subsided in his sure embrace
He would be my first man, and with a careful hand
He wiped at the tears that ran down my face
They call me The Wild Rose
But my name was Eliza Day
Why they call me that I do not know
For my name was Eliza Day
On the second day I brought her a flower
She was more beautiful than any woman I’ve seen
I said: “Do you know where the wild roses grow
So sweet and scarlet and free?”
On the second day he came with a single red rose
He said: “Will you give me your loss and your sorrow?”
I nodded my head, as I lay on the bed
“If I show you the roses will you follow?”
They call me The Wild Rose
But my name was Eliza Day
Why they call me that I do not know
For my name was Eliza Day
On the third day he took me to the river
He showed me the roses and we kissed
And the last thing I heard was a muttered word
As he knelt above me with a rock in his fist
On the last day I took her where the wild roses grow
She lay on the bank, the wind lied as a thief
And I kissed her goodbye, said “All beauty must die”
And I lent down and planted a rose between her teeth
They call me The Wild Rose
But my name was Eliza Day
Why they call me it I do not know
For my name was Eliza Day

speed of the sound of loneliness
You come home late and you come home early
You come home big, when you’re feelin’ small
You come home straight and you come home curly
Sometimes you don’t come home at all
So what in the world’s come over you?
And what in Heaven’s name have you done?
You’ve broken the speed of the sound of loneliness
You’re out there runnin’, just to be on the run
Well, I’ve got a heart that burns with a fever
And I’ve got a worried and a jealous mind
How can a love, that will last forever
Get left so far behind?
So what in the world’s come over you?
What in Heaven’s name have you done?
You’ve broken the speed of the sound of loneliness
You’re out there runnin’, just to be on the run
It’s a mighty mean and a dreadful sorrow
Crossed the evil line today
How can you asked about tomorrow?
We ain’t got one word to say
So what in the world’s come over you?
What in Heaven’s name have you done?
You’ve broken the speed of the sound of loneliness
You’re out there runnin’, just to be on the run
So what in the world’s come over you?
And what in Heaven’s name have you done?
You’ve broken the speed of the sound of loneliness
You’re out there runnin’, just to be on the run
You’re out there runnin’, just to be on the run
You’re out there runnin’, just to be on the run
I Wish It Was Me
I wonder whose having my perfect night,
Standing where I used to be,
Tasting your sweet kind of dynamite,
Oh how I wish it was me.
Some one is having their dream come true,
Living my fantasy,
Some one is falling in love with you,
Oh how I wish it was me.
Somebody else is sailing my ship through a star spangled sky,
Some body else is melting your ways as the hours go by,
Heaven knows I wish it was me.
Some one is looking into your eyes,
Seeing what I used to see,
Lost in your spell as the evening dies,
Oh how I wish it was me.
As the hours go on by heaven knows I wish it was me.
I wonder whose having my perfect night,
Standing where I used to be,
Tasting your sweet kind of dynamite,
Oh how I wish it was me.
Oh how I wish it was me.
When You Were Sweet Sixteen
Since first I saw the love light
In your eyes
I thought the world
Held not but joy for me
And even though
We’ve drifted far apart
I never dream
But what I dreamed of you
I love you
As I never loved before
Since first I saw you on the village green
Come to me
Or my dream of love is all
I love you
As I loved you
When you were sweet
When you were sweet sixteen
Since first I saw the love light
In your eyes
I thought the world
Held not but joy for me
And even though
We’ve drifted far apart
I never dream
But what I dreamed of you
I love you
As I never loved before
Since first I saw you on the village green
Come to me
Or my dream of love is all
I love you
As I loved you
When you were sweet
When you were sweet sixteen
Walking On My Memories
Walking down the street
By the house we knew
Weeds command the garden where
Our roses grew
Children I don’t know
Climb our apple tree
And scar the bark
That bears the mark
Of your sweet love for me
No one sees an old man cry
As he starts to say goodbye
Won’t someone up there tell them please?
They’re walking on my memories
CHORUS
Sweet memories
The after glow
Of love be long ago
The window where she stood
And waved to me each day
Now fades another while I roam
The years away
See things as they were
Our love it used to be
I’m glad those smiling eyes can’t see
What time has done to me?
No one sees an old mans tears
And when his heartbreaks no one hears
Won’t someone up there tell them please?
They’re walking on my memories
Chorus 2 times and fade the 3rd time
Artist: Allan Taylor Year Of Release: 1978-2016 Genre: Acoustic, Folk, Folk Rock
Allan Taylor is one of the last of the travelling troubadours who came through the social and artistic revolution of the nineteen sixties and carved out a career as a solo singer-songwriter. Born in Brighton, England in 1945 he experienced the Beatnik times, the Skiffle days, the Mods and Rockers and the early Hippy days, all played out on Brighton Beach. At the age of twenty one he left home and became part of the vibrant folk music of London, playing all of the major folk clubs of the time (for example, the famous Troubadour Club) and then to Greenwich Village, New York, playing legendary clubs such as Gerde’s, The Gaslight, The Bitter End, The Mercer Arts Center. He embraced the issues, images and emotions of his time and used these experiences as the basis of his songs. Signed to the international record company United Artists and recording in London, Nashville and Los Angeles his albums were released world-wide. By the mid-seventies he returned to Europe to live and then started on the second part of his career, having now established his modus operandi – collecting the stories for his songs in the bars and cafes of Europe and throughout the rest of the world.

Wheel Of Fortune
There’s a drag queen preaching Jesus in the middle of the square
A young kid playing “Yesterday” on a Japanese guitar
There’s a loser on the talk show, he wants to be a star
And Sharon sings for Wayne in a karaoke bar
There’s a superstar who fell from grace, he has to tell it all
About the dizzy heights he rose to and his ignominious fall
Infamy or fame, it’s the same for one and all
We’re just trying to get attention in this suburban shopping mall
In this suburban shopping mall, another shopping mall
We’re just trying to get attention in this suburban shopping mall
Everybody’s got their price, in that there is no shame
Everyone will sell their soul for a minute or two of fame
We’re playing wheel of fortune, life is just a game
Some will win, some will lose, but we all end up the same
We will all end up the same, we will all end up the same
Some will win, some will lose, but we all end up the same
Will the drag queen find Jesus, and what will Jesus wear
Will the faded star redeem himself, become a millionaire
Will Wayne marry Sharon, will they make the perfect pair
Another joke, another tragedy, does anybody care
Does anybody care, does anybody care
Another joke, another tragedy, does anybody care
All Is One
One frozen smile, one dying fall
One crooked mile, one Wailing Wall
One broken vow, divides the few
Too late somehow to make anew
One bird in spring, come summer soon
Young lovers sing a simple tune
Too young to know how dreams are brief
And come to fall, one autumn leaf
One final dance unites us all
One grand romance before we fall
One stands alone when all is gone
When one is all and all is one
One river flows, one endless sea
One never knows how it should be
One hopeless love, one more lost cause
One velvet glove to close the doors
One backward glance, one fare-thee-well
One more chance in a wishing well
One helpless call, one road too far
We lose it all, for what we are
One final dance,
One grain of sand, one falling star
One crippled hand, one old guitar
One tune will end, one song begins
We fly again on broken wings
One traitor’s kiss , one twisted knife
One night of bliss, one wasted life
One final hour, one second more
One faded flower thrown to the floor
One final dance,
One letter burned, one memory lost
One gift returned, one lover crossed
One open wound, one bleeding heart
One comes around, one plaays the part
One life is short, one cannot stay
One must depart, one fades away
One runs the course, one tries in vain
One shows remorse and tries again
One final dance unites us all
One grand romance before we fall
One stands alone when all is gone
When one is all and all is one
And all is one, and all is one
One Last Smile
Red On Green
Now all is gone
Only words remain
Words I write to you my love
One last sweet refrain
When the order came
Early in the dawn
Soldiers into battle
Falling one by one
Then I stood alone
I knew it was my turn
Falling into darkness
Never to return
No more will I see the light that dances in your eyes
No more watch the flowers bloom when fleeting swallows fly
And the last light of the summer has faded away
Gone forever, gone forever more
Blood red on green
Colours that I wear
I am calling out your name
Can you hear
I am calling out your name
Can you hear
Provence
I see you in a white dress, your hair blows in the wind
You’re walking barefoot in the grass, summer’s come again
Fields of sweet lavender, Provence in the sun
All is forgiven, all is one
I will sit and watch you, I will paint the scene
I will trace the outline and the colours inbetween
We’ll lie on a blanket and picnic in the sun
All is forgiven, all is one
When the light begins to fade at the end of day
There’s no need to be afraid
We can always turn away
One day we’ll remember how it used to be
How I stood alone in your affections and you were everything to me
Our time is not over, a new day has begun
And all is forgiven, all is one
When the light begins to fade at the end of day
There’s no need to be afraid
We can always turn away
I see you in a white dress, your hair blows in the wind

Seventeen – It’s been a while since I’ve seen seventeen
And the years since have been mighty lean
But there’s no use complainin’
Forty-two-has a way of creeping up on you
And my chances left are gettin’ few
But there’s till time remainin’
I’ve been waiting for someone
Who loves the way I do
Girl I’ve got my fingers crossed
In hopes it might be you…
Twenty-one…that’s how many different jobs I’ve done
I remember quittin’ every one
With no hesitatin’
And thirty-three…
That’s how many women left on me
I don’t have too good a history
But I don’t mind waitin’…
‘Cause it really doesn’t matter
How many years you’ve seen
‘Cause love is always seventeen
Wonder if you’ll be the one
To end this lonesome heart
‘Cause girl I’ve got a lot to give
And I’d sure like to start.
It really doesn’t matter
How many years you’ve seen
‘Cause love is always seventeen
And Aubrey was her name,
A not so very ordinary girl or name.
But who’s to blame?
For a love that wouldn’t bloom
For the hearts that never played in tune.
Like a lovely melody that everyone can sing,
Take away the words that rhyme it doesn’t mean a thing.
And Aubrey was her name.
We tripped the light and danced together to the moon,
But where was June.
No it never came around.
If it did it never made a sound,
Maybe I was absent or was listening to fast,
Catching all the words, but then the meaning going past,
But God I miss the girl,
And I’d go a thousand times around the world just to be
Closer to her than to me.
And Aubrey was her name,
I never knew her, but I loved her just the same,
I loved her name.
Wish that I had found the way
And the reasons that would make her stay.
I have learned to lead a life apart from all the rest.
If I can’t have the one I want, I’ll do without the best.
But how I miss the girl
And I’d go a million times around the world just to say
She had been mine for a day.
I found her diary underneath a tree.
And started reading about me
The words she’s written took me by surpise
You’d never read them in her eyes.
They said that she had found the love she waited for.
Wouldn’t you know it, she wouldn’t show it.
When she confronted with the writing there,
Simply pretended not to care.
I passed it off as just in keeping with
Her total disconcerting air
And though she tried to hide
The love that she denied,
Wouldn’t you know it, she wouldn’t show it.
And as I go through my life, I will give to her my wife
All the sweet things that I can find.
I found her diary underneath a tree.
And started reading about me.
The words began stick and tears to flow.
Her meaning now was clear to see.
The love she’d waited for was someone else not me
Wouldn’t you know it, she wouldn’t show it.
And as I go through my life, I will wish for her his wife
All the sweet things that she can find
All the sweet things they can find
